One of the earlier red shallots. Pikant can be planted in early spring. It's resistant to bolting which means it can be planted 4 weeks earlier than other shallots. These bulbs are milder in flavour than onions and each will produce 8 - 12 similar size bulbs in July. Shallots can be left to mature or used fresh as spring onions.
