from: £3.99 • Scroll down to shop
Ceratopteris thalictroides is an aquatic fern. It is fast growing at high light levels and thus suitable for removing excessive inorganic nutrients from the water in the aquarium. CO2 enrichment enhances growth significantly. Ceratopteris thalictroides is very plastic according to size and grows quite big in large aquaria whereas the size is more moderate in smaller ones. It is extremely easy to reproduce because it is able to set adventitious plants at the rim of the leaves. Just leave a leaf floating on the water surface and new plants will develop in due course. For some reason this plant either grows like weed or it slowly dies off. These plant are recognised as some of the most beautiful and robust aquarium plant on the market. Over 150 different varieties are normally available for freshly harvested delivery. Part of the world ..
